Our Work

read me (1)_edited.jpg

read me

An unabashedly queer dramedy, read me follows the human personification of a pile of cosy jumpers, a cripple punk mall goth, and a token “straight” as they join a queer book club looking for community. Unfortunately for Will, Ezra, and Josh, no other members show up, and it’s up to them to keep the club going. As the three undergo the trials and tribulations of getting everyone to actually read the book, they struggle to navigate their individual issues and interpersonal relationships.

Beyond the Binary/
404: Gender Not Found

Working with non-binary and gender non-conforming people based in Dundee, Beyond the Binary was a series of writing and performance workshops over 8 weeks exploring the experience of being non-binary, challenging misconceptions, and celebrating queerness.

The project is a spiritual successor to 7:84's 1990's work Talking Bollocks and Fingerlicks. It culminated with a public performance of 404: Gender Not Found at Blend at Dock Street Studios on International Non-Binary People's Day.

The Last Will and Testament of ______

Say goodbye to your new best friend! The Last Will and Testament of ___ is an interactive theatre piece celebrating the life of our dear mutual friend, during which we bequeath their belongings according to their unofficial last will and testament. As we go through the items, everyone is invited to share memories of our friend and the stories behind the items they receive.

Dear Daddy, Who Art in Heaven

A new, original play that follows a boy who’s trying to reconcile his religious upbringing with his sexuality. The kicker is: as he wrestles, the audible voice of God speaks back to him “from above”… only it turns out God is actually irreverent, crass, fruity, and a total troll. "Dear Daddy" examines fundamentalist Christian concepts and values while also tenderly (and often humorously) prodding at some of the stereotypes of the gay experience.
